Hamish Porter & the Wonders on Woodland

Hamish Porter stepped out into the bright Woodland St. sunshine.

"I wonder what the east side muggles are up to today!" he thought to himself.

Just then his two very best friends, Mirhiney and Rob Weeblie came running around the corner and smacked right into Hamish.

"Cor, Blimey,"Hamish uttered in that irresistible British way that British people utter, "I think you broke my wand! It was an original from 1973. Where am I going to find that and where am I going to get a mid century dining set, a pole lamp and a fondue set for my meeting with the dark lord, Lord Brooks?"

"I know, let's go to WONDERS ON WOODLAND!" Mirhiney squeaked!

Okay, I'll stop torturing you with my horrible J.K. Rowling impression and just get to the point. Wonders on Woodland is an awesome antique store adjacent to the Weenie Mobile on Woodland. Unlike other "antique malls' and "thrift stores" Wayne and Debbie take the time to find very cool and unique pieces and then also take the time to display them very nicely. They remember you when you come in and they seem to have an uncanny knack of knowing just which piece they have that will uniquely appeal to you as their customer. I have dropped some cash there and would definitely like to drop A LOT more if I had it to throw around wildly. That's not to say that things are too expensive there, no that is just a testament to the variety of coolness there. Personally I am a big fan of Mid Century Modern and they are constantly showcasing items from that period. I recommend going at least once a week because you never know when and where the next cool item they find will show up, and you'll want to jump right on it. My saturday in E. Nashville lately have consisted of Marche in the morning, then Turnip Truck, WONDERS after and then grab a hot dog at I dream of Weenie for lunch. Don't you love it over here?
